On an annual basis, more than $10 billion is spent globally to research and commercialize nano materials used to miniaturize products such as medical devices, mobile communications, hardware for the space and defense industry and semi-conductors. Although the goal of most manufacturers is to develop smaller, lighter and more powerful products, a better understanding of how materials behave as they approach the atomic scale is required in order for manufacturers to continue this trend.
To meet this challenge, PSi℠ has exclusively licensed disruptive technology invented by three faculty members at the State University of New York at Buffalo. PSi’s initial product PSi1℠ , a “leapfrog” proprietary system that will allow corporations and research institutions to study sub-nano materials with up to 50 times greater resolution than current technology which includes atomic force microscopes and scanning tunneling microscopes. The PSi1℠ system will allow researchers to unlock the commercial potential of sub-nano materials down to the single atom level in order to better understand the physical properties of materials as they get significantly smaller. This new knowledge will lead to the further development of advanced materials, the greater miniaturization of devices and revolutionize the next generation of high-tech products.
